Go-ahead for Umeå 2014 European promotional tour
According to a decision made by the municipality's Capital of Culture Committee, Umeå 2014 continues to plan for an “Icetour" in Europe during the autumn 2013. The tour will contribute to promoting Umeå as a European Capital of Culture, develop cooperation and cultural exchanges, and attract visitors to Umeå and Northern Europe.
The idea behind Umeå 2014's "Icetour" during 2013 is to visit several European cities in cooperation with the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi to arouse interest.
